Pregnant and working on my feet all day.

I am on my feet all day at my job with no break sometimes. I also have to unpack alot of boxes. I am wondering can being on your feet a lot cause a miscarriage. I am only a couple weeks pregnant but I am still worried. Thanks

Please, please stop worrying. Many women have to work during pregnancy and we have to do the best we can in our given circumstances. Pregnancy is an incredible event for any woman and the outcome of our pregnancy is determines on many factors.
First of all know your baby picked you out of all the mothers in the world to be the best and greatest mother. Your baby is also fully aware of your personal, relationship, financial and work conditions.
Pregnancy is physically, mentally and emotionally challenging for all women and I know when you have to work long hours on your feet all day it can be even more challenging. Many employers lack empathy for pregnant women.

Early pregnancy disability requires that you have a medical problem in order for your OBGYN provider to give it to you. Most times you do not get much money on disability and it can only be for a certain amount of weeks depending on your state laws.

You could however speak to your OBGYN provider and ask for a not for work to be reassigned job positions where you are not lifting heavy boxes, and we are more than willing to make such requests. However this then puts your employer in a difficult position and he may have to let you go if he can not reassign you.

Focus on having a wonderful healthy pregnancy and baby. Connect with your unborn child as they can be emotionally traumatized by our stress and worry.
