Molar Pregnancy, What You Should Know About Your Molar Pregnancy or Partial Molar Pregnancy Diagnosis.

Molar pregnancy is a serious issue that one in every 1-2 thousand pregnant women faces. Be informed about molar pregnancy to reduce your risk of developing uterine cancer as a result of your molar pregnancy or partial molar pregnancy.

What is a molar pregnancy:
Approximately one in every 1000 to 2000 pregnant woman end up having a molar pregnancy. A molar pregnancy is an abnormal pregnancy and can result in uterine or ovarian cancer if not managed correctly. A molar pregnancy is a pregnancy that is growing into a mole within the womb. On ultrasound there is no baby’s heartbeat, but there will be this grape-like mole growing inside your womb.

Types of molar pregnancies:
There are two types of molar pregnancy. Both are very serious and both are extremely abnormal pregnancy growths. One is a complete molar pregnancy and the second is a partial molar pregnancy.

Complete molar pregnancy:
If it is a complete molar pregnancy then there is no baby, no baby parts, no placenta and no amniotic fluid. There is just a big mole and it looks like a bunch of grapes growing inside your womb.

Partial molar pregnancy:
A partial molar pregnancy occurs when you have one egg but two sperms penetrated that egg. During the development and cell duplication process, a severe abnormality of the developing embryo occurred. Therefore with a partial molar pregnancy you could have a uterine mole containing no heartbeat, but may have some baby parts such as hair, teeth, bone, amniotic fluid, placenta parts all balled up into a grape like structure.

Molar pregnancy symptoms:
What symptoms might you be experiencing that may indicate you could have a molar pregnancy developing? With a molar pregnancy you produce an excess amount of pregnancy hormones which gives you many exaggerated symptoms of pregnancy. Molar pregnancy signs and symptoms may include one or more of the following:
Excessive morning sickness.
Your breasts grow quickly and are very tender.
Your womb is bigger than the gestational age of your pregnancy.
You have a lot more pressure symptoms in your pelvic area.
On blood work your pregnancy hormones are much higher than the expected range for your pregnancy age and they are rising faster than the normal pregnancy pattern.
An ultrasound shows no babys heart beat and a grape like structure growing instead.

Treatment for molar pregnancy:
Many times molar pregnancies are absorbed inside the body themselves. This can take a couple of weeks to a couple of months for it to happen as the body absorbs the mole.

You may end up having a cleaning out of your womb with a dilatation and curettage where your doctor will can scrape out the inside of the womb. The problem with a molar pregnancy is that even with a dilatation and curettage, it may be impossible to clean out the route of the mole that have imbedded into the muscles of your womb. The good thing is that over time the body will absorb the remaining parts of the molar pregnancy.

As long as there are small branches of your molar pregnancy embedded in the muscles of your womb you will produce pregnancy hormones. This may give you molar pregnancy symptoms for months after diagnosis or treatment.

The most important thing for you to do when managed for a molar pregnancy is to take self-responsibility and make sure you do not become pregnant for a least one year after a molar pregnancy diagnosis. If you do become pregnant again, you are at risk of developing uterine cancer and you may have a disaster pregnancy on your hands.

Your physician may insist on you taking birth control pills or injections to ensure no new pregnancy occurs, as you do not want to have a diagnosis of cancer within the months following a molar pregnancy.

Having one molar pregnancy does not mean you will have another one. We never know the outcome of any pregnancy, as all pregnancies are completely different. Having a history of a molar pregnancy does mean you should see it as a warning sign for both yourself and your partner to eat healthier and supplement daily with high quality vitamins, minerals and antioxidants to prevent production of internal bodily toxins affecting eggs or sperms.

Many times people get caught up with the severity of abnormality of a molar pregnancy and fail to realize the emotional devastation a woman goes through in losing her pregnancy. To a woman a pregnancy means a baby. On top of this, molar pregnancy symptoms may last for months and be very hard to cope with. A woman may feel she has this alien growing inside of her and be emotionally traumatized by the frequent blood tests and ultrasounds needed in the year following diagnosis of a molar pregnancy.

You may even experience pregnancy loss grief and if so please seek professional support. If you want a baby then be positive for having a future healthy pregnancy and when that pregnancy occurs please go and be examined as soon as you discover you are pregnant. Early examination is important to monitor your hormone level and perform ultrasounds.

Healthy Pregnancy Is What Every Pregnant Woman Wants. Tips On What You Can Do To Have A Healthy Pregnancy.

Under normal pregnancy circumstances, about 25% of woman are going to miscarry, or lose their baby, within the first twelve weeks of pregnancy. Read on to see what you can do to prevent this happening to you and have a healthy pregnancy.

Having a healthy pregnancy starts with preparing your body for this incredible cycle of pregnancy well before you become pregnant. A defective egg or sperm has a huge part to play in the reason why so many women miscarry. Defective eggs or sperms are a direct result of insufficient vitamins, minerals and antioxidants in the body.

Healthy pregnancy preparation will reduce your risk of congenital abnormalities, miscarriages and going into labor early. Pregnancy is far more than a physical process that happens to a woman. It has an incredible mental, emotional, spiritual and energetic side to it. In order to have a healthy pregnancy you must embrace pregnancy from a holistic body, mind, and spirit perspective.

Eat healthy:
If you have just found out you are pregnant and want to have a healthy pregnancy then you must start with eating very healthier. Be very conscious to make sure you include fruit and vegetables and high protein foods into your diet and eating three meals a day. Pregnancy does not require that you eat for two, but does require that you are very conscious about the quality of food you eat, making sure the food you eat for your baby is of high quality and nutritious.

Set up your prenatal appointment:
Having a healthy pregnancy also includes early prenatal care. As soon as you know you are pregnant, set up your appointment with your doctor or midwife.

Start multivitamins and minerals:
As soon as you know you are pregnant start taking a multivitamin plus an extra folic acid (400 micrograms) until you obtain your prescription for your prenatal vitamins. Many multivitamins and prenatal vitamins do not contain all the minerals that are required on a daily basis to maintain optimal health. Also add a good quality mineral to your pre natal vitamins. Minerals are the building blocks for a healthy pregnancy.

Prevent dehydration:
Having a healthy pregnancy requires that you prevent dehydration. Drink at least eight to ten glasses of water every day. A dehydrated body can cause pregnancy complications. Pregnancy requires extra water intake as by the time you are thirty four weeks pregnant your blood volume will have increased by forty percent.

Start exercising:
Healthy pregnancy requires that you adjust your body to all the necessary changes that are needed to grow a healthy baby. Exercise will help increase your body stamina. If your are not used to exercising, then start doing a little bit of walking even if it is for 10 minutes everyday. If you exercise regularly continue your exercise program as long as you do not become breathless. Shortness of breath reduces the oxygen supply to your baby and is not conducive to a healthy pregnancy.

Pregnancy is much more than a physical process. Embracing pregnancy from the mind, body and spirit prospective will enhance your possibility of having a healthy pregnancy. What can you do regarding the aspect of the mind to help you have a healthy pregnancy? Everything that you think, say, and do during your pregnancy has a profound effect on your unborn child for life. Every time you think a positive thought, your baby is going to pick up that information from you and end up been a very positive person. Worrying and complaining during your pregnancy will feed your baby negative thoughts. You might have a healthy pregnancy but with an emotionally scarred baby.

It is very important for your baby to be mindful of what you say, do, and think during your pregnancy. Learn how to connect and communicate with the emotions of your unborn child to have a healthy pregnancy and a healthy baby. Generally, the more you are informed and educated about all the dynamics of pregnancy, the likelihood is that you will have a healthier pregnancy outcome and a healthier baby.

Pregnancy and lower back pain, what every pregnancy woman should know about back pain and pregnancy.

Back pain and pregnancy, tips on what you can do to make your pregnancy and lower back pain a litter easier to deal with.

Normal weight gain in pregnancy is about 35 pounds, but lots of women I have met over my twenty-year midwifery career gained 35 pounds to 70 pounds during pregnancy. The stress of sudden weight gain during the short cycle of pregnancy can cause back pain and pregnancy misery.

Pregnancy posture change:
Pregnancy and lower back pain happens because of pregnancy weight gain and the automatic adjustments your body makes in posture to accommodate the growing womb. This change in posture is called pregnancy lordosis. Upper and lower back pain and pregnancy lordosis go hand in hand because your spine becomes super curved, elongated, and your breast and buttocks stick out which create a huge pull and stretch on your muscles.

Pregnancy hormones:
On top of this, back pain and pregnancy go hand in hand because of the higher levels of pregnancy hormones you produce. Pregnancy hormones have a relaxing effect on many of the muscles in your body to accommodate the muscle stretching that is required during pregnancy. Relaxed muscles are not as supportive to the spine and abdominal muscles. Therefore many women complain of back pain and pregnancy shoulder stress.

Pregnancy pelvic changes:
The female pelvis is made up of many different bones. When you get towards the end of your pregnancy, a baby cannot fit to a normal-sized woman’s pelvis without the pelvis opening and expanding. The pelvis has two major joints; one towards the right and one towards the left of your lower back along with a hinge joint at the very tail end of your spine.

Back pain and pregnancy ligament pulling and stretching is a direct result of your pelvis opening which will allow your babys head to engage or enter into the cavity of your pelvis. Pregnancy and lower back pain is also caused by the excess pressure felt deep within your pelvis as your baby sits and waits for labor to commence.

All of these factors taken together, it is not unusual for pregnant women to get backaches. So if you get a backache straight away start doing things to prevent your backache from getting worse or getting out of control.

How to help minimize symptoms associated with pregnancy and lower back pain:
I definitely recommend having nice warm bath soaks, putting nice warm compresses on your back, or even better still having back massages to help with your pregnancy and lower back pain.

I would absolutely recommend that every pregnant woman go to see a chiropractor during pregnancy. A lot of traditional obstetrician, gynecologist and midwives are a little afraid of sending the women to a chiropractor because they are just not informed as to what chiropractors actually do. A chiropractor can help your spine accommodate easier to all the posture changes that happens during your pregnancy and relieve pain associated to pulled and stressed muscles associated to pregnancy and lower back pain.

Apart from that, let us look at what things can you do to your own body to help minimize back pain and pregnancy. Wearing a good supporting bra during your pregnancy will support the increased breast weight and uplift your breasts so they do not feel so heavy. This will alleviate a lot of the upper back stress associated with pregnancy and lower back pain.
There are also a lot of pregnancy stomach binders that have been created to help support the weight of your growing womb which can help relieve back pain and pregnancy ligament discomfort.

Many women are focused on fashionable shoes and wear ridiculous footwear during pregnancies that do not support their posture and feet. I cannot believe how many pregnant women out there are wearing ridiculously high shoes or low shoes. Remember, as you become more and more pregnant all the bones and muscles within your feet are stressed.

Take a good look at the shoes you are wearing during your pregnancy and ask yourself these questions to evaluate the importance of your feet:
Do your shoes have a good supportive arch in them?
Are your shoes nice and wide to accommodate the increasing growth and widening of my foot associated to extra blood volume and swelling that occurs during pregnancy?
Can your foot easily slip out of your shoe? If so you could trip and fall and injure yourself or your baby.

The more informed you are about pregnancy, than the better choices you will make. Better choices mean a happier healthier mom and baby. Pregnancy can be an extraordinary experience for a woman. It is far more than growing a baby and understanding pregnancy and lower back pain.

Pregnancy has a huge emotional, mental, spiritual, and energetic side to it. The more you understand these aspects, the easier and less symptomatic your pregnancy will be. Learning how to connect with the emotions of your unborn child will allow you to enhance your pregnancy experience and surrender to its normal physiological process of pregnancy and lower back pain.

Infertility to pregnancy.

Well after no AF for 3 weeks I was truly beginning to believe it was finally going to happen for me. AF arrived today and at first I tried to stay positive but I'm only human and the sadness is starting to kick in now. That being said I trust God 100% and I know everything happens for a reason and I will never give up hope. I have never been pregnant. Not once have I ever gotten a BFP. I want so very much to be a mommy. I've been TTC for about 2 years now though I was not doing anything special like charting or checking temps or monitoring CM. I was just going about it the natural way. I don't want to get into all that though because I believe it would stress me out way too much to dwell on it every day with the taking temps and checking CM and all that. But I did decide to keep a simple chart on fertility friend. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I am a nurse midwife myself. Coming from a large Irish family, I never envisioned that getting pregnant would be a challenge. Like many women struggling with infertility, I tried month after month for ten long years to get pregnant. Finally at the age of 38, the miraculous event happened naturally on its own.
For me pregnancy was one of the most amazing experiences that I as a woman could go through. During early pregnancy I made a conscious decision to be a stay at home mom. Like many women I worried about money, wondering how I was going to afford to give up my high paying midwifery career and be a stay at home mom.
Sixteen weeks into my pregnancy tragedy struck when my growing baby died and I had to undergo an induced mini-labor to complete the miscarriage process. This miscarriage experience helped me to understand the powerful effect our thoughts, words and actions can have on our unborn child, and the outcome of our pregnancy. Like many couples, my insurance plan at the time did not cover infertility treatments. Financially, paying out of pocket was not an option. A sad situation for many couples!
After my miscarriage, I felt her biological clock ticking and with a turn in events, my insurance plan finally changed providing a limited coverage for infertility. This enabled me to seek assistance from an infertility specialist to become pregnant.
I was fully confident in my assumption that my fertility treatments would work. Six months later, after numerous doctor visits, injections, blood tests, ultrasounds, three failed attempts of intra uterine insemination, while in the middle of an IVF cycle, I was diagnosed with premature ovarian failure (premature menopause) and was removed from the infertility program.
On top of this I was then informed that I would never have a biological child unless a miracle happened. Both myself and my husband walked away from the clinic that day in total devastation thinking all our hopes and dreams of being parents were gone. What saddened me more was maybe i was to blame for loosing my one and only opportunity of being a mom because I worried about money.
I had to accept that I may be childless, but on the other hand I felt deep inside that I would have a child, despite the medical picture that was painted. I decided to do personal research about vitamins, minerals and body detoxification to help increase the production of her eggs. The research and nutritional supplement program I devised worked, and at the age of 41, I had her first son. To add to the miracle my second son arrived 17 months later.

Pregnancy and kidney stones.

Kidney stones can be very painful and can cause a lot of damage to your already challenged kidneys during pregnancy. Pregnancy because of the 40% extra blood volume you take on board by the 34 week of pregnancy they work overtime.
